Zoom!® Teeth Whitening
Dr. Wilson has many teeth whitening methods available including Zoom!®, an in-office bleaching treatment. This method of teeth whitening requires a short preparation period where your mouth and gums will be covered. The Zoom!® bleaching solution is applied and the special Zoom!® lamp is shined onto the teeth. This process is done in three 15 minute sessions. You can have teeth several shades lighter in about an hour.
Many teeth whitening methods cause your gums to feel irritable and sore. With the Zoom!® whitening method, irritation is minimal but the results are significant. Research has shown that Zoom!® teeth whitening system can whiten teeth up to 8 shades lighter when used in conjunction with the high intensity Zoom!® light. How does Zoom!® teeth whitening work?
The Zoom!® teeth whitening procedure involves a whitening gel applied to your teeth. A special light shown on the teeth after the gel application helps oxygen enter the dentin and enamel of the teeth, bleaching the teeth and reducing the appearance of yellowing and discoloration while not affecting the tooth structure.
What if I have had previous dental work?
Zoom!® teeth whitening treatments are considered safe for those who have had previous dental work. Dr. Wilson and her staff will give you a thorough oral exam before treatment, and if there are any problems that need correcting before the teeth whitening procedure, Dr. Wilson will discuss with you how you should proceed.

Had my initial cleaning and digital x-rays taken. The staff each greeted me, shook my hand, introduced herself and went over my dental history, needs and concerns. Dr. Wilson examined my mouth, saw that I needed some improvement in the night guard I brought in and immediately shaved it along the sides so it would be slimmer and fit better.
