Technology

GALILEOS 3D

officepics 002The Galileos 3D is the latest technology used by oral surgeons, Dental implantologists and TMJ specialists. This technology allows Dr. Wilson and the Premier Dental Care Staff to take a high quality 3D panoramic image of the teeth, jaw, skull and face using the lowest possible dose of radiation. It not only allows Dr. Wilson to provide superior diagnostics and treatment, but it is more comfortable for patients.

Diagnodent

This laser cavity detector finds decay before it destroys the tooth structure from the inside out. Diagnosing cavities beneath the hard enamel surface is challenging because cavities start through microscopic defects in the hard enamel surface and readily spreads into the softer tooth structure beneath the surface. The diagnodent allows the dentist to locate hidden decay or measure the depth of existing decay, and with treatment stops the spread of disease before it destroys the tooth from within.

Digital Doc Intra-Oral Camera

An intraoral camera is about the size of a pen and fits easily into a patient’s mouth. This device sends a picture to a monitor that can magnify the image up to 400 times larger. Patients will be able to see the same image that the dentist sees, at the same time, making it possible for the dentist to show them the treatment that may be needed.

Dimension-3 Dental Loupes

Dimension-3 optics deliver a large depth-of-field, the brightest images, and the best resolution across the entire field-of-view.

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) Unit

The TENS Unit has been used successfully for many years in the symptomatic relief of chronic, intractable pain that may be associated with with certain dental procedures and TMJ. TENS relieves pain by sending small, electrical impulses through electrodes placed on the skin. TENS is a safe, non-invasive, drug-free, medically-proven method of pain management with certain dental procedures and TMJ.

DEXIS Digital X-rays

In our office we use DEXIS Digital X-rays. DEXIS is the only digital system to be accepted by the American Dental Association. DEXIS Digital X-rays use 90% less radiation than conventional x-rays. The DEXIS sensor is ergonomically designed to be more comfortable. With digital x-rays, we are able to see images instantly on our flat screen monitors, which can be enhanced by magnification, contrast, and coloring to better diagnose your treatment needs.

VELscope

Early Detection of mucosal abnormalities can result in successful treatment and management of most mucosal conditions. The VELscope emits a safe, visible blue light into the oral cavity, which excites the oral tissue and causes it to fluoresce cancerous lesions. The VELscope System is an essential part of the state-of-the-art oral mucosal examination. The VELscope helps you avoid some serious problems that otherwise would go undetected until it’s too late.
